Technical specifications

A gas adsorption porosimeter is used to determine the specific surface area and porosity of a material using the principle of adsorption and desorption of a gas (typically nitrogen, argon, krypton) on the surface and in the pores of the sample at low temperature (78K).

  • 3 independent analysis stations, each with 3 pressure sensors;
  • Integrated degassing system with heating up to 450°C;
  • A dry pump and a turbomolecular pump (micropores < 2 nm);
  • Gases: nitrogen, argon and krypton.
