Physical property analysis

The physical properties of materials include their electronic, optical, magnetic and mechanical properties, as well as phase transitions. Together, these properties determine how materials interact with their surroundings, and how they respond to external disturbances.

The PLASSMAT platform includes equipment to analyze these characteristics: electronic properties (density of state by EELS and STM, bandgap by optical spectrometry, work function by AFM, etc.), magnetic properties (SQUID, EPR, MFM), phase transitions (thermal analyses, TEM) or mechanical properties (AFM).
